Actress KATE BOSWORTH suffered a quarter-century crisis when she turned 25 recently - after succumbing to an unexpected "moment of weirdness" over her birthday.

The Superman Returns beauty - who celebrated her milestone anniversary on 2 January - is adamant more help should be available to those on the brink of turning 25, because it's actually a very daunting and distressing experience.

She says, "I turned 25 a couple of months ago and it was the first birthday where I felt a bit weird about everything. You know, no one really speaks about the quarter-century in terms of a crisis.

"But for me it was a moment of weirdness. I was 14 when I did The Horse Whisperer and in one sense it feels like a long time ago, but not really.

"Life goes so quickly. The older you get the more quickly it goes. It just moves faster and faster."

Bosworth isn't a big fan of desert-based Las Vegas either - because of the city's lack of greenery.

She shot her latest movie, casino thriller 21, in the gambling and party hub for six weeks, but soon became bored of its brash appeal - blaming the treeless city for turning her "crazy".

She tells Britain's Total Film magazine, "Everyone I know describes Vegas as the adult Disneyland, which I can kind of understand, although I think it's a bit more debauched than that!

"To be really honest, Vegas isn't really my cup of tea. I actually enjoyed some of the shows, but being there for six weeks - it's a long time. We all felt like we'd been living in a big parking lot and we were all really happy to get out of there.

She adds, "You know - you miss trees! It makes you go a little crazy after a while."
