Celine Dion is the new century’s highest earning artist. The Canadian diva has beaten out second place earner, country singer Kenny Chesney, in America’s Top 10 list of performers of the past decade.

The list is created by combining album sales with concert ticket revenues, and it seems Celine has been consistently successful in both categories from 2000 to 2009. Her five-year contract with Las Vegas’ Caeser’s Palace didn’t hurt her chances either, raking in around $400 million (Dhs1.47 million). The combination of all her sales earned her a whopping $747.9 million (Dhs2.74 billion) from 2000 to 2009, putting her in the top spot.

Rounding out the the list is Dave Matthews Band, The Beatles, U2, Toby Keith, Bruce Springsteen, The Rolling Stones, Tim McGraw and Britney Spears.
