Days after her divorce settlement lands a role as a pageant judge
Mills hires celebrity lawyerNewly single and wealthy HEATHER MILLS has fuelled speculation she plans to move to America, by recruiting celebrity lawyer GLORIA ALLRED to represent her in the US.
On Monday Mills was awarded $33 million cash and assets worth $15.6 million in a divorce settlement with Sir Paul McCartney. She lost an appeal at London's High Court on Tuesday when she attempted to stop details of the case from entering the public domain.
Allred - who has represented the family of O.J. Simpson's murdered ex-wife Nicole and Britney Spears' ex-bodyguard Tony Barretto - was on hand to issue a statement on behalf of the former model.
She tells New York gossip column PageSix.com, "Heather was delighted with the outcome today. It was about justice. Heather was a winner before she met Paul, and she will continue to be a winner. I admire Heather for her charity work."
Mills is rumoured to be looking for TV work in the U.S. She has guest-hosted for talk show star Larry King in the past, and appeared on Dancing With the Stars last year (07).
Meanwhile, Mills has gone from judgment to judge after landing an expert role at the upcoming Miss USA pageant just days after winning the divorce settlement.
The former glamour model-turned-activist has signed on to judge beauty queens at tycoon Donald Trump's annual parade of lovelies in Las Vegas.
Osmond siblings Donnie and Marie will host the show at the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino next month.
