Who knew scruffy comedian Russell Brand had hopeless romantic in his list of attributes. The 34-year-old Brit has been dating singer Katy Perry for just three and a half months, but on a romantic holiday to India, he popped the question.

The trip, which was a Christmas gift for his lady love proved more than just a sightseeing vacay when Russell presented Katy with a ring on New Year’s Eve. During the holiday, Katy twittered to fans about their experience in India and even posted pictures of them in front of the Taj Mahal looking more in love than ever.

Since meeting the I Kissed A Girl Singer, Russell has been smitten telling friends, “Katy’s managed to tame me. This is it – I’m completely in love.” The two met in September at the MTV Video Music Awards and began dating soon after.
