As one of the most glamorous and notorious designers/party hosts in the world, Roberto Cavalli bought his own style of drama to Friday night's Halloween party at the Cavalli Club at the Fairmont Hotel.

From the elaborately spooky decorations - who would have thought it would be so tricky to get fake cobweb out of your hair? - to the incredible performers that included glow-in-the-dark drummers and an opera singer that was one decibel away from breaking all the glasses in the houe, and a celebrity guestlist that included Roberto and of course, CSI star Gary Dourdan performing with his band (fyi: Gary is definitely more of an actor than a singer) - this was one incredible evening.

But the highlight had to be the guests themselves. While Roberto may have stuck to his traditional jeans and blazer look on the night, the Dubaites that were there certainly didn't hold back when it came to the dress code. From 17th century pirates (Johnny Depp eat your heart out) to glamorous geishas, Venetian mask-clad courtiers, a leather-clad catwoman (here's hope that one day Weight Watchers can do that for all of us) and Fred Flinstone (why!?) - the incredible jawdropping party atmosphere was thanks to the dazzling outfits as well as the free flowing bubbly.

Note for next year: Clip-on devil horns from Party Shop will most definitely be put to shame in front of everyone else... but at least we know for next year!
