“It’s a fragrance of contrasts,” says Will Andrews, Fragrance Scientist on the dunhill Fragrance Creation Team.

“The main top note ingredient is relatively unusual – we’ve used crispy rhubarb that delivers a steely, almost metallic freshness. And this is built further by zingy pink and black pepper heart notes which create an amazing energy within the fragrance.

"These fresh notes are balanced by lavender and cedar leaf that provide masculine body, leading into a familiar comforting base of sandalwood and vanilla.”

However, Andrews emphasises it’s not a fragrance that simply soars, detached above your head, because it quickly becomes a very warm, close, personal fragrance.

“It evokes the intensity of the experience of gliding and being in the cockpit. In fact, the construction of the fragrance echoes the way the excitement of meeting a challenge head on can rapidly segue into a feeling of immense calm; of inner strength.”
