The Taste Debate
France vs Dubai? We know a Michelin chef who'd say there's really no contest...
The Taste DebateWhen it comes to discussions about where the REALLY good food comes from, some of us culinary snobs would probably say Dubai (after all, we've got absolutely everything and more right here!) But go back a little further than the kitchens of our fave hotels, and all three of the best gastronomic guides in France, Gault-Millau, le Bottin Gourmand and Michelin, are in agreement on one point - the good stuff almost always comes from Pays Basque in France.
Al Murooj Rotana, as of tomorrow, will fling open its doors and adopt an irritatingly false French accent for popular Michelin Star Chef, Jean Baptiste Daguerre from St. Pee-sur-Nivelle (Pays Basque). He's coming to the Waterside Seafood Restaurant & Terrace from the 2nd till the 8th of March 2008.
Chef Daguerre will demonstrate his tasty culinary creations via a special menu, unveiling delicacies of traditional Basque cuisine combined with his signature cooking style. All you seafood lovers listen up! Here's your chance to try the freshest Atlantic fishes and sumptuous seafood, which forms the base of Basque cuisine. Book now - it's bound to fill up!
