JUDE LAW has become a father for the fourth time - but the actor didn't attend the birth of his new daughter

SAMANTHA BURKE gave birth to a baby girl on Tuesday night, but, despite vowing to support the child, Jude was apparently notably absent when his daughter came in to the world.

An insider tells People.com, "I doubt Jude was there. Besides the financial support, he's not involved."

Samantha, who had a fling with Jude while he was filming Sherlock Holmes in New York, has previously revealed she planned to call the tot Sophia.

Jude has three other kids with ex-wife Sadie Frost.
