You will find yourself more than pleasantly surprised by the understated Carter’s – a traditional British pub, offering a perfect little slice of England-style relaxed dining at Wafi Pyramids.

With dining areas slightly elevated on either side of the large bar, the raised stage offers the perfect casual dining spot – just close enough to experience the action at the bar, but not too close that you feel like you’re on display. Those looking for a little more peace and quiet can escape to the terrace seating area outside.

On top of Carter’s’ fun, friendly and relaxed atmosphere, the food is amazing, and definitely a notch above the standard Euro gastro-pub fare.
The menu is diverse, ranging from wok-tossed tiger prawns to rib-eye steak and marinated duck satay. For mains, you can opt for classics like fish and chips, or something more unique, such as grilled filet of beef with goat’s cheese mash. Alternatively, the pan-seared sea bream with tomato and caper relish is equally as fab.

When it comes to dessert, expect lashings of too-good-to-share sweetness, served up in belt-busting portions. Try the Mars Bar cheesecake – a thick, creamy sponge with a caramel centre – or the hot chocolate pudding with popcorn ice cream.

If you don’t fancy dinner, a drink or two at the bar is still well worth the trip, if only to hear the in-house jazz act ‘Take Two’ elevate the atmosphere to party levels.
