John Travolta accused of refusing help for dying son
Court hears how actor insisted he be taken to airport rather than hospital
The mystery over JOHN TRAVOLTA's son's sudden death deepened yesterday after a court was told the actor allegedly refused help for him.
According to reports the actor insisted that his son JETT, 16 - who died after suffering a seizure - be transferred to the airport, rather than to the island's hospital.
A 'refusal of medical attention' form signed by the officer, Inspector Andrew Wells, is now at the centre of an $25 million extortion trial.
It is alleged that Former Bahamian Senator Pleasant Bridgewater and paramedic Tarino Lightbourne, threatened to release that document to the media, unless Travolta and wife KELLY PRESTON paid their ransom.
It is thought Travolta wanted to fly his son to Florida for what he believed would be better medical attention.
After signing the waiver the actor allegedy changed his mind and the teenager was taken to the nearest hospital, where he later died.
Travolta returned to the Bahamas on Monday, the first time since Jett's death, as he prepared to testify in the case.
He is expected to take the stand later this week.
Bridgewater and Lightbourne have pleaded not guilty to the allegations.
