But that's okay, because it seems that in real life, the pair are starting to look pretty cosy, with sources saying they enjoyed a romantic Valentine's Day date in a London pub near Dan's home.

"Emma... kept looking over her shoulder nervously as if she didn't want to be recognised," spilled a witness. "Throughout the night, he just kept giggling like a love-struck teen. They then left the pub, heads together and whispering, and headed in the direction of Daniel's home nearby."

Rumoured to be being pursued as the new face of Chanel, and linked to London's new ‘It' boy, Razorlight frontman Johnny Borrell, it's clear that Emma's keen to cultivate a post-Potter image of an uber-cool girl about town - something that hooking up with squeaky-clean Dan (despite that Equus strip off!) won't help.

And as Daniel just split from his Equus co-star, Laura O'Toole, it's likely that Emma was meeting him for a cheering up sesh.

"When people started to notice... she wrapped her scarf around her head," said a source. "Daniel found her look hysterical."
