Dubai Lime has been a bit of a blessing for Dubai's live music scene, and its Art Exhibits have been around just as long as those now-infamous open-mic nights. From March 1st, every month, Dubai Lime will host an Opening Night for the artist who will be displaying her/his artwork for the entire month.

Drumroll...

On the 1st of March, join Dubai Lime and Shalini Channar, Dubai Lime's artist of the month for March, on its opening night at Bert's Café, Dubai Marina from 6pm onwards. It's a great little spot for meeting and socialising with other bods who like a bit of art and culture! And don't forget, Cassiano De Sa, a songwriter and composer from Brazil, will be playing his original Portuguese music.

Bert's Café will also kindly serve up a free coffee to every Limer in attendance (and Limer friends, of course!)

About Shalinni Channar:
Shalini Channar (artist of the month in March) began her artist's career at the age of 7. She frequented the Dubai International Arts Centre with various workshops, learning loads of skills. She had her first silk painting exhibition at the age of 15 (impressive, huh!?)

With a formal education at the Sir J.J School of Fine Arts in Mumbai, she honed her creative skills by studying art and majoring in textile design. Her foray into fine art led her to silk painting, and under the banner of 'Hues and Strokes', she plans to develop a line of silk scarves for the Emirati clientele in Dubai!

Shalini's work is on display at the following venues:
1st to 8th of March - Bert's Café, Dubai Marina 9th to 15th of March - Bert's Café, Greens 16th of 22nd of March - Central Perk, Jumeirah 23rd of 31st of March - Central Perk, Mirdiff
