JENNIFER ANISTON has hit out at her ‘lazy' exes - suggesting they are to blame for her ‘unlucky-in-love' reputation.

The actress has had a string of failed romances since her split with BRAD PITT in 2005, including flings with JOHN MAYER and VINCE VAUGHN.

But now the former Friends star - who is rumoured to be dating GERARD BUTLER - has hit back, claiming her previous lovers were always too ‘lazy' to communicate their feelings, which led to the break-ups.

She tells Australia's Harper's Bizarre: "I think a good relationship is about collaboration. That's the way to go in a relationship. I think you just need to talk to each other.

"Say what you need. Say what you want. That way it's not threatening. You just need to say, 'This is important to me.' Don't expect your mate to read your mind." Ouch!

But despite the 40-year-old's bad experiences, she says she's still a soppy romantic at heart.

"I'm still a romantic.

"I think it's important to have closure in any relationship that ends - from a romantic relationship to a friendship. You should always have a sense of clarity at the end and know why it began and why it ended. You need that in your life to move cleanly into your next phase."
