BRIAN MCFADDEN has confirmed he will fight ‘unfit mother' KERRY KATONA for custody of their two daughters.

The former Westlife singer says he fears for the safety of Molly, seven, and Lily-Sue, six, because his ex's lifestyle is out of control and branded Kerry ‘ridiculous'.

In an explosive TV interview he said: "She was always troubled but of late it seems to be escalating into something ridiculous.

"The videos of Kerry doing drugs and all the manic craziness that seems to be going on. People getting arrested and just this real unstable environment."

Shocked Brian said he found out about the latest twists and turns in Kerry's life through the press and has no idea what is going on in her life because the feuding pair have not spoken in more than four years.

He told Ireland's Late Late Show: 'I read what everyone else reads, people might think because they are my children I would know a lot more, but I don't. I read everything you guys read or see.

"I don't know her any more. It has been over five years since we were together and well over four since we even spoke. We just can't speak. I wish it was different.

"When we did speak we just could not agree on anything and I know it sounds stupid but for the sake of the kids, the best thing for us is to have no relationship at all."

Brian says he is confident he will get custody and has threatened to take the Molly and Lily-Sue to Australia, where he lives with fiancée DELTA GOODREM.

"I don't have a career here," he said.

"My career is destroyed in UK and Ireland. How am I supposed to look after my kids here?"

"How am I supposed to feed them. I can't make money here, get a job on a building site. No one can get a job on a building site how am I going to get one?

Brian's mum also revealed her fears for the children under Kerry's supervision, and said the constant worry was making her ill.

She said: "From the time I wake in the morning to when I go to sleep at night it is a constant worry. I get upset about it all the time.

'I have actually been quite ill. Ill from worry I have been in hospital twice about it.

'I have been here before with Kerry on this. I don't want to take anyone's children away from their mum.

'I have been to Kerry and sat with her and said if you want to get your life I'll look after them and she's refused. We are at the stage now where it is serious and we do need to take the children.'

Asked what she thought about Kerry, she replied: 'I don't have any feeling for her. She is Molly and Lilly's mum that's all, that's it."
