asadoArgentinean cuisine probably doesn’t spring to mind when wondering what to have for dinner... but step into the unknown and Asado could change your mind.
Situated on the first floor at The Palace hotel, Asado’s traditional décor boosts antler light fixings, pebble stone walls and a glass room in the centre exposing an entire goat roasting over hot coals on a wooden spit!
Start with traditional Argentinean pie, soft mini pastries filled with veal and cheese to dip into salsa, or thick sweet corn stew & farm cheese that’s full of flavour.
If you’re not brave enough to sample the delicious soft-meat of a baby goat from the mini BBQ, a selection of raw beef weighed out in grams is showcased in a glass box at your table to allow you to personally pick the cut you fancy. It’s then cooked to your liking and served with a choice of tasty sides including crispy garlic and parsley fries, cheesy sauteed spinach and truffle mash. The extensive wine list makes choosing one of the grapes from across the globe quite a task, but there’s a waiter on hand with top recommendations.
Dessert comes in two sections, first a clay pot of tea or coffee with a truffle biscuit to help digest the main course. Next choose from too-good-to-miss sweet treats like Panqueques (crepes stuffed with banana and ice cream), fresh blueberry and lavender parfait, or a rich melting soufflé de chocolate, which will definitely have you coming back to this one-of-a-kind Dubai dining spot again!
