Rahman planning Jackson tribute album
He may bring King of Pop’s final recordings to life
Rahman planning Jackson tribute albumOscar-winning composer A.R. Rahman is in talks to bring Michael Jackson’s final recordings to life on a new tribute album.
The “Slumdog Millionaire” composer worked with the King of Pop on new tracks in the late 1990s and the pair hooked up to develop their ideas earlier this year (2009).
Jackson reportedly asked Rahman to compose a unity anthem for him, and Rahman had already started work on the project when the pop superstar died in June.
A source says, "Rahman is now working on a tribute album to Jackson with an Indian flavour."
