Allegedly (and we can't think WHY!!) messed up BRITNEY SPEARS is planning a world tour - just weeks after she was hospitalised for psychiatric evaluation.

Talk about... er, madness?? Personally we'd expect to see her sort her life out, before parading even more of her instability before an audience of impressionable teenagers (sigh).

Spears was discharged last week after a seven-day stay at Los Angeles UCLA Medical Centre, following a headline-grabbing start to the year.

Understandably she's keen to turn her life around, but we're not entirely sure that starting with a series of gigs around the globe is gonna help, even if it is to promote her latest album Blackout - and kickstart her music career.

An insider tells the New York Post, "Britney will be leaving the country in the next few weeks, after training in privacy for a month. She is planning a global tour."

Not sure Dubai would let her in. Would it??
