Whispers reach us from the UK where Russell Crowe’s currently filming new Robin Hood flick Nottingham, that Robin’s legendary ethos of stealing from the rich to give to the poor has rubbed off on the Aussie star!

Set sources claim Russ was left suitably shame-faced when he teased one of the female crew about the fact that her car had gone up in flames. And after the crewmember retorted, “Well, I suppose it’s okay for you, Russell. You’ve probably never had to worry about finding five grand for a new car,” instead of throwing a telephone at her head, Russ came over all Robin Hood.
“He gave her five grand [Dhs28,000],” spilled a source. “He said, ‘There you go, you can buy a 10 grand car now!’”
