Choose life… Ewan turns down Trainspotting sequelEveryone's fave Scot (except Scotch eggs of course) Ewan McGregor has apparently voted against the idea of a follow up to the 1996 film, Trainspotting, not wanting to discredit the film with a "poor sequel". His part as addict Renton in the film, and his work with co-star Robert Carlyle and director Danny Boyle helped to make the hottie a star, but he still hates the idea of them making Irvine Welsh's follow-up to the novel - P*rn - into a movie.
He told press, "I've always said that I loved Trainspotting so much that it would be a terrible thing to damage it by making a poor sequel. People would forget the great movie Trainspotting was." Bravo we say. We like a man who sticks to his guns.
