Mirai
Move over Okku and Zuma, there’s a new player in town
MiraiMove over Okku and Zuma, there’s a new player in town. From the boys that bought you Boudoir, there’s now an incredible new Japanese restaurant for those stylish nights out – and luckily this one is a bit more suited to a recessionista’s budget.
Hidden away in the Souk Al Bahar this is definitely the new place to be seen. With a cocktail menu that matches its glamorous new slick black and red surroundings – we’d recommend the Maratai to start off the proceedings with a side order of edamame and pink river salt to start off the proceedings.
And the food menu is just as delicious and exotic as what’s on offer at the bar. For the adventurous types we’d recommend following the chef’s tasting menu and enjoy the constant flow of tastes that range from yellow tail sashimi with wasabi and yuzo soy sauce to the crispy roast duck dumplings and the miso sea bass. Be warned – the dishes keep on coming.
If your appetite is not as demanding, then the sushi bar is a must for raw fish fans. Choose between the Volcano (California style but with added spicy crab and tempura), the Soft Shell Crab or the Chef’s Special – a mix of spicy crab and salmon skin with a creamy chilli sauce. Amazing!
But before finally retiring back to the bar for another look at the cocktail menu, make sure you leave enough from for Mirai’s desert menu. The Chocolate Harumaki with peach dip comes highly recommended by us!
And if that’s not enough
After cocktails and dinner at Mirai, you can carry on the evening at their chilled exclusive Mirai Lounge. Remember Bang? Well the Mirai team have taken over the popular bar lounge – and kept the Swarovski crystal bar – so you can go straight to dinner and onto the dance floor. The ultimate girls’ night out!
