Hilton 'profound' - Harvard (!)
Hilton collects US university's women of the year.
Harvard, one the best university's in the US, has bestowed the title of woman of the year to Paris Hilton.
The 26-year-old stopped by the Cambridge, Massachusetts Ivy League school on Wednesday, during a promotional tour for her new movie The Hottie And The Nottie, to collect her prize.
The honour is only handed out sporadically, and Hilton was selected for having "the most profound effect on our lives", according to Lampoon member Hayes Davenport.
A joking Hilton began her acceptance speech, chuckling, "Thank you all for coming. An international icon meets countless people every day."
The hotel heiress later tricked students by saying, "I have a best friend, she's standing right over there. It's Nicole Richie!.. Just kidding. She's in L.A. with her baby."
On Thursday, Charlize Theron and Christopher Walken are heading to Harvard to collect this year's Woman and Man Of The Year honours from the university's Hasty Pudding Theatrical Society.
