Thai Kitchen Brunch
The heaving tables packed with chattering expats at the Thai Kitchen’s Friday brunch are testament to the quality food on offer
Thai Kitchen BrunchOver the din of laughter, clinking glasses and brunching ladies gossiping, the faint clatter of pots and pans and the sounds of sizzling emanate from the steaming open-plan kitchens – and with it, mouth-watering spicy aromas.
If the extensive menu featuring authentic Thai dishes from four different kitchens – wok, grill, steam and noodles – is too much to navigate (should the duck noodle soup come before or after the papaya salad?), put your faith in the expert hands of the maitre d’ who can recommend a delish selection tailored to your individual tastes. Dish upon dish of amazing flavour-packed treats including spicy crunchy veg, grilled chili beef and BBQ chicken are brought to the table in dinky manageable portions!
And with no buffet queue to elbow through – the food is served directly to your table – all you have to do is sit back and soak up the atmosphere, and the idyllic views of the neighbouring yachts on the creek. But be warned, this brunch caters for the more ambitious appetite, so try to resist heaping an extra portion of fluffy rice onto your plate – you won’t need it!
Finish up with a too-good-to-resist dessert of sticky rice with mango, or if you’re feeling virtuous, gorge on juicy melon, jackfruit and papaya. Though we defy even the most committed dieter not to succumb to the refreshingly fab coconut ice-cream! Yum!
