Eva in rehab: Is it for drink?

Famously down-to-earth and level-headed, Eva Mendes' stint in rehab has surprised Hollywood, but sources are whispering that the actress had given hints as to the possible root of her recent problems.

Speaking about a nude scene she shot with Joaquin Phoenix for the movie We Own The Night, 33-year-old Eva revealed, "I wasn't comfortable at all... They poured me a vodka and orange juice and then I was fine." Adding, "I'm very professional and I don't usually drink on the job."

And although Eva's rep has only revealed, "Eva's been working hard for the past year and made a positive decision to take some much-needed time off to proactively attend to some personal issues," insiders say Utah's Cirque Lodge - where LiLo was treated - is renowned for treating alcohol and drug abuse.

The Latina actress has never made a secret of her distaste for the Hollywood lifestyle, proclaiming, "The celebrity world can be so ugly. Everyone seems to have slept with everyone else and it's some sort of strange weird cycle. I don't want to get into that."

So, pals of the actress are whispering that it's unlikely Eva succumbed to the Tinseltown tradition of a descent into drink and drugs, with the reason more likely being confidence issues.

Revealing more about the We Own The Night shoot, Eva revealed of one scene, "I remember being so scared that morning and really trying to stall, but I just had to do it." Adding, "I just talked myself into an oblivion and did it... When you're exposing yourself, it's frightening." Suggesting that she's busy tackling problems stemming from her career.
