If you love Thai food, and the love of your life loves Thai food, this is an absolute must for a romantic dinner a deux. Perched right on the edge of the water at The Palace in the Old Town, aside from the astonishing fountain displays to gaze at as you dine, and the super mellow music for blissed out munching with your man, this elegant and contemporary Thai restaurant serves food that makes your heart pound for all the right reasons.

Offering a fab selection of totally delish and sophisticated dishes , you’re going to be hard pushed to decide what to have. If you’re stuck, the well priced set menus are a great way to enjoy a diverse selection of foods – just make sure you have been starving yourself all day, because you won’t want to leave anything that arrives at your table – guaranteed.

Alternatively, we’d recommended the mixed starters (the satay is divine) followed by steamed snapper with chilli and lemon – a huge fish (go for the filleted version!) delicately flavoured with citrus and garlic and just enough kick to keep a cold at bay. Curry fan? The yellow curry is utterly moreish, packed with succulent pieces of chicken and perfect with steamed rice and some fresh mixed veg.

If you can manage a pud, try the coconut ice-cream to cool you down (especially if you’ve gone for a table outdoors – it’s sooo worth it! ) Just about the best Thai food we’ve had in Dubai. Tip top!
