PEACHES GELDOF's estranged husband MAX DRUMMEY has opened up about their failed union - insisting he is "glad" he wed the socialite because it boosted interest in his band.
Bob Geldof's 19-year-old daughter married New York musician Drummey, 24, in Las Vegas last September following a two-week road trip together across America.
But the couple split in February after less than six months of marriage.
Drummey admits he doesn't regret walking down the aisle with Geldof, because even though their relationship failed, it made his band - Chester French - famous.
He tells Britain's Evening Standard newspaper, "I've garnered so much amazing publicity from awesome people."
And he is happy to make fun of rumours the wedding was just a "publicity stunt", adding: "I have her (Geldof) on retainer. Not as my PR, as my friend on
my personal payroll. She's my friend for money. She also orchestrates publicity stunts for me."
