As February 4th is the UAE's National Environment Day, Shooting Stars and Warner Brothers are doing their bit to get us involved, by hosting the Middle East premiere of The 11th Hour.

It doesn't open in cinemas until February 14th, but we've got 10 pairs of exclusive premiere tickets for the 4th to give away when you enter this great competition.

This documentary, produced by the one and only Leonardo DiCaprio explores how humanity has arrived at the very last point where change is possible - how we live, how we impact the earth's ecosystems, and what we can do to change our current course. If you think it sounds like a must-see, you're probably right!

The movie isn't dull or preachy, but presents a hopeful message about how we can create a sustainable future for the planet - something we'll all need to know if we're to last, quite frankly! Easy Tips for Greener Living:

• Turn off the light when you leave a room, and turn off your computer before leaving the office.
• Switch to compact fluorescent light bulbs
• Use a refillable glass water bottle rather than plastic bottled water at home and the office.
• Walk, cycle or use public transport whenever possible
• Buy locally as well as free range meat and poultry products and certified organic produce
• Compost food scraps for your lawn
• Use reusable mugs, lunch containers, batteries, etc. in your home and office
• Look for products make from recycled material, such as printer paper, etc.

To coincide with National Environment Day, there will also be a month-long schedule of activities in Dubai's schools. These will help our city's children to understand climate change in the region and what can be done on a local level. A pretty worthwhile cause, if you ask us.
