Or the fact that Alicia Keys was performing at the time (perhaps the sound of her singing about herself again just pushed him over the edge?), but we can't help thinking that Kid Rock punching Tommy Lee in the face at the MTV VMAs is just hilarious.

To recap: Tommy, 45, and Kid Rock, 36, felt the need to have the kind of throw down you might expect if Rocco Ritchie met Maddox Jolie-Pitt in the playground and they quibbled over who had the best trainers.

"I was trying to be the bigger man, but he was acting childish," said Tommy. Childishly adding, "I was about to put Kid in the emergency room when security grabbed me." We can't wait for round two: Tommy says something horrid about Kid's mum.
