With its very un-eastern name, one could be forgiven for not immediately guessing that Options is a restaurant which serves first class Indian cuisine. Located near the lobby of the Zabeel Hall Convention Centre, this is a venue that provides welcome relief from the cavernous and constantly busy Trade Centre exhibition halls. Richly decorated in sumptuous, padded red velvet and dark wood, there is a warm, intimate and exclusive ambiance to Options. Indeed, one almost feels as though one might have entered a Royal chamber, considering the grandiose design of the gilded, shapely chairs. But there is not an ounce of snobbery to be found, and the menu is the real deal clincher. For those who enjoy a real spectacle, the raan buzkazi is the perfect dish, as it arrives at the table in a halo of flames, courtesy of a generous splash of rum. The murgh makhani is also excellent, with made succulent chicken slow cooked in a creamy tomato sauce. With its in-house DJ adding to the chilled out vibe, Options is the perfect choice for late-night sociable suppers.
