Bukhara
Hospitable ambiance and generous servings of the famous North Indian cuisine
BukharaSo famous is the name Bukhara that every single Asian foodie starts salivating at the very sound of the word. Its flagship restaurant in Delhi, which became so famous that it started selling its food in tins the world over, finds its sister restaurant in Ajman. People describe their evenings there as more of an adventure than an experience (perhaps it has something to do w the fact that the restaurant is reluctant to give you cutlery to eat with). Indian hospitality at its best, accompanied by the most rich and authentic surroundings, makes diners feel as though they have entered the warm home of a wealthy villager somewhere in northern India in the early 20th century. Dim lighting, raw wooden tables, copper matkas (water carrying bowls), authentic Indian fabrics on the walls and a slightly contrasting glass-enclosed kitchen adds drama to the authentic ambiance. Recommended dishes include the kali dal (or dal bukhara), seekh kebab, barrah kebabs, tandoori jhinga, murg makhani and tandoori aloo.
