With drama being a firm favourite on the menu, Fire and Ice is a restaurant with attitude. While the dark wood panel flooring and brick walls exude a warm and intimate, sophisticated atmosphere, reminiscent of the classic restaurants in New York City, the deliciously fresh and differently served trans-ethnic cuisine, is truly the star of the show. The first indication that all is not as it seems, are the designer dancing flames at the entrance to the show kitchen. The second indication that this is not your average fine-dining eatery, is when the food actually arrives, artistically engulfed in plumes of dry ice, courtesy of the liquid nitrogen which is used as part of the unique cooking process. But pomp and ceremony service aside, the food is truly exquisite, with mouth-melting dishes including the prime cuts of sizzling wagyu and cabana las lilas beef, lobsters and scallops which are prepared on hot Japanese Ishiyaki volcanic stones. A fabulously entertaining experience, Fire and Ice is perfect for all occasions that require a little more je nes cest qois.
