HARRISON FORD and CALISTA FLOCKHART are in the process of expanding their family by adopting a little girl, according to U.S. reports.

Harrison proposed to the former Ally McBeal actress on Valentine's Day, and is taking further steps to cement their seven-year relationship.

According to reports, he plans to make Calista's adopted son LIAM, eight, his own child - and the pair will take custody of a daughter soon after.

A source says: "Harrison's begun the process of adopting Liam too. He's been a father figure to the boy almost since day one."

Harrison, 66, has four other children from two previous marriages.
