MADONNA will hand ex-husband GUY RITCHIE custody of their children for three months over the summer while she tours Europe.

The former couple split last year and agreed to share care of their two children ROCCO, eight, and adopted DAVID, three.

The youngsters live full time with their mother in New York with regular visits from their father. They also spend time with Ritchie in the UK during school holidays.

And now the kids will reportedly get to spend three months with their dad from June, while Madonna goes back on the road with her Sticky & Sweet tour.

A source says: "Guy absolutely dotes on his children and can't wait to have them for a whole three months. He is surprised and pleased that Madonna is being so generous as she has at times been impossible. Madonna will be travelling a lot and agreed it makes sense for them to stay with Guy rather than be constantly uprooted. He'll make it a summer they won't forget."

Madonna also has a 12-year-old daughter, LOURDES, from a previous relationship.
