JAMIE LYNN SPEARS' boyfriend had a lucky escape after being involved in a horrific car crash that almost claimed his life.
CASEY ALDRIDGE, who is father to Jamie-Lynn's 10-month-old daughter, MADDIE, was rushed to University of Mississippi Medical Center with severe head injuries after being catapulted from his car on a Louisiana highway on Sunday.
Casey was thrown from the truck with two other passengers as it flipped over.
He is said to have suffered brain trauma and a fractured skull, while another of the five passengers sustained a broken collarbone, and a third injured his hip.
But the 19-year-old has been responding well to treatment and was moved out of intensive care on Tuesday.
His uncle Odus Jackson says: "It was a big scare there for a moment, but he got moved out of ICU and is doing good."
