Revelation 1
Tom is Scientology's Second-in-command
So close to the current head of the controversial religion, David Miscavige, that he allegedly took the man on his honeymoon with him, Tom is said in the book Tom Cruise: An Unauthorized Biography to be the Church's second-in-command. And so obsessed is the movie star with maintaining his position, that he is said to only employ staff who are Scientologists, selects his movie roles only after consulting with Miscavige, and even picked Katie Holmes as his wife, based on advice from the religion's hierarchy.

"Tom has been told he is Scientology's Christ-like figure," spilled a source. "Just like Christ, he has been criticised for his views. But future generations will realise he was right, just like Jesus."

Revelation 2
Scientology Ended Tom's Marriage To Nicole

Apart from attending a few seminars, Nicole famously never became a Scientologist, which is said to have been one of the major factors in their split after almost 10 years of marriage.

The controversial book alleges that after a 1998 interview, in which Nicole called herself "a Catholic girl," Tom took a course to identify "those in his life who create problems and difficulties" - and Nicole was identified as one of them.

And Morton goes on to to insist that "Shortly after Kidman's [comment], senior Scientology leaders got together to discuss their strategy to keep Tom in the fold. The fear was that a lukewarm Nicole could fatally compromise Tom's commitment to his faith."

Revelation 3
Nicole ‘Blackmailed'?

Although it's widely known that Nicole is anti-Scientology and hates the fact that her adopted children, Isabella and Connor, are being raised to believe in Thetans and Xenu, the actress has never publicly criticised the ‘cult'. And sources are whispering that Nic is being blackmailed by the Church.

Made to divulge private information about herself - known as ‘auditing' - which is then kept by the religion, Nicole is alleged in the book to keep her mouth shut, saying only, "[My children are] being raised as Scientologists. I don't want to go there," as she fears the private info will be leaked.

Revelation 4
Mission: Recruit David Beckham

Posh'n'Becks have been keen to publicly state that, on no account, has their powerful bestie Tom tried to talk them into becoming Scientologists. But the book alleges that isn't entirely true, and that while Tom may have given up on converting Victoria - who apparently said, "There's no way I'd spend any money on that nonsense" - the actor is focusing on David, who is seen as an easier target and able to convert his wife once he's in.

Revelation 5
Suri's dad is actually L Ron Hubbard

It's the least convincing of all the book's allegations, but by far the most fun, Morton argues that Suri is actually believed by some of the Church's more fanatical followers to be the daughter of the founder, Ron Hubbard. Said to have been conceived using the frozen sperm of the science fiction writer, little Suri is likened to the movie Rosemary's Baby, in which a young woman carries Satan's child.
