Mango Tree
Sourcing the best ingredients from Thailand to produce truly authentic cuisine
Mango TreeA venue that counts Antonio Carlucci among its more discerning clientele, this relative newcomer is already a well established favourite among those in the know. Located at Souk Al Bahar, Mango Tree offers stunning views of the Burj Dubai, while providing guests with an excellent range of seating options. The main restaurant area is filled with natural light, while the delicately lit pavilion offers a more intimate experience. Diners can also request their own dining room for even greater privacy. But while the chic and calming décor is a delight, it is the menu that really impresses. Most of the produce is sourced directly from Thailand, and the dishes are then cooked and prepared by Mango Tree’s highly skilled line chefs, all of who have been trained in Bangkok. Ingredients including Thai mangoes, holy basil polemo, rose apple and physalis fruit are specially imported, an aspect that makes the restaurant’s dishes remarkably authentic. The tom yum goong, the unique range of Thai curries and the wonderfully well-stocked wine library are all worth sampling, while the yum pla dook foo (crispy flossed catfish with green mango salad) is as deliciously exotic as it sounds.
