Indego
Indian cuisine with a European twist, created by a Michelin starred chef
IndegoWhen a restaurant is headed up by the very first Indian chef to receive a globally acclaimed Michelin star, and has won a stream of industry awards since opening in 2005, one expects to be served an extraordinary gastronomic experience. Consultant chef, Vineet Bhatia, who is also owner of London’s Rasoi and Urban Turban, has created an intimate and authentic fine dining experience where guests can enjoy uncluttered, subtle opulence in a contemporary yet authentic environment. But while the interior is impressive, the food plays the starring role. Bhatia has created an exquisite menu of Indian cuisine which fuses together the authentic spices and flavours with a modern presentation. In fact, the food is so good, that it has won the approval of another Michelin starred chef, Gary Rhodes, who is a frequent visitor to Indego, along with tennis star Roger Federer, F1 racer Ralf Schumacher and Bollywood actor, Shahid Kapoor. First time diners are advised to sample the home-smoked fresh tandoori salmon, steeped in grainy mustard and honey marinate, the prawns poached in coconut and chilli masala, and the ultimate dessert; a marbled chocolate and almond samosa with masala chai smoothi.
