By far and away one of the trendiest newcomers on the UAE’s Indian cuisine restaurant scene, IZ is a refreshingly modern and well-conceptualised dining experience. The sociable layout of the restaurant which serves up a delicious array of traditional tandoor – the equivalence of ‘Old Delhi’ tapas – has an extensive and movable menu which changes on a daily basis, allowing regulars to experience new and exciting dishes whenever they visit. With its casual, warm ambiance, subtle lighting and chic styling, IZ offers a relaxed and very sociable option for guests. The fact that it has become a regular haunt for the cream of Bollywood celebrities who regularly make their way through Dubai, since opening in 2007, is simply further evidence of IZ’s culinary and atmospheric success. Newcomers are urged to sample the signature dish ‘Tandoori Salmon Tikka’, which translates as mildly spiced king salmon, sprinkled with fresh coriander, smoked to soft perfection in the tandoor, then served with cheddar.
