Described as a Lebanese restaurant and nightclub, Al Tannour isn’t kidding. Head to the traditional eatery for a late-night supper, and you’ll be tucking into Tabouleh as the band and belly dancers shake their stuff.

The trick here is to order a mix of mezze dishes for your table. From deliciously crisp lamb kibbeh balls and warming slices of meat shawarma, all lovingly dipped in hummus topped with pine nuts, you’ll want to try them all.

Carb-dodgers won’t be able to resist the straight-from-the oven bread coming to the table thick and fast, and, as it’s kneaded by a Lebanese lady sat right on the dining floor, it’s almost rude not to chomp through mountains of the stuff.

If you can face a main, the grill plate of melt-in-the-mouth meat kebabs are perfectly prepared, or opt for the lemony hammour fillet... with a large dollop of creamy tartar sauce, of course!

There’s a big selection of fruit, dainty pastries and scrummy sweets on offer for dessert if you’ve got room. Chances are you won’t... but some belly dancing might fire up your appetite for a midnight snack!
