After turning 40 on February 11, Jennifer Aniston is in the best physical shape of her life. Looking better than starlets half her age, she has one of the most enviable bodies in Hollywood. But just how does she do it?

The Work Out

Working out with her personal trainer and bestie, Mandy Ingber five times a week, Jen completely shuns the gym in favour of exercising at home, and credits her high-energy 100-minute work out as the key to maintaining her incredible physique.

Starting with a 20-minute cardio warm up, Jen does an hour of yoga, incorporating super- powered Calisthenics after each pose. Never heard of it? Calisthenics are rhythmic body exercises performed without apparatus, like push-ups, lunges and crunches. As an extra fat-blaster, smarty pants Jen uses kettlebells to strengthen and firm those awesome arms of hers. Finally, it’s another 20- minute cardio work out on the elliptical or treadmill, running at 5.7mph (at an incline of 1.5 to be precise) for red carpet-worthy pins.

The Diet
Jen recently converted to the new and improved Atkins diet, which, unlike the original plan, includes small portions of healthy carbs such as whole grain bread, rice and pasta, along with lean proteins such as grilled chicken, poached eggs, lean red meat and seafood. If she feels her trousers are getting a little too tight, or there’s a red carpet bash looming, Jen will ditch her fave food – pasta – for a few days, in favour of raw vegetables.

The Skin Care
A self-confessed sun worshipper, Jen’s often spotted topping up her tan, despite the harsh effects of the sun’s ageing UV rays. But she combats sun damage with treatments from Hollywood skin guru Kate Somerville, famed for her non-surgical anti-ageing facials. Day to day, Jen slathers on Dr Hauschka moisturiser, posh brand SK II eye cream and washes at night with one of the best budget-beauty washes out there – Neutrogena’s cleansing bar.

Essential Extras
Aside from her healthy diet, Jennifer is a devotee of celeb-fave LA physician, Sabena Toor, who individually customises traditional Chinese and Indian herbal supplements and teas – which help combat bloating and abdominal fat – for her A-list clients. But her latest new body-beautifying must is a new fruity supplement. Packed full of antioxidants, Pomegranate Power claims to work by detoxing your body and promote a more contoured shape by reducing cellulite and boosting your metabolic rate – which may be why Jen’s exercise regime seems to be working even harder for her recently. The supplement also claims to rejuvenate the skin from within, replacing the need for complexion-perfecting face serums.
