Big-hearted HEATHER MILLS has given ex-husband SIR PAUL MCCARTNEY's new girlfriend, NANCY SHEVELL, her seal approval.

In a bid to repair her reputation Mucca has spoken out in favour of her ex's new love.

Sir Paul, who divorced Mucky Mills in March last year, has been dating New York socialite Shevell since 2007, and his ex insists she doesn't have a bad word to say about the woman who has replaced her in the rocker's affections.

She tells Page Six magazine, "I haven't actually met Nancy, but my daughter says she's wonderful. Paul's got great taste in women."

Um, really? His most recent record would suggest otherwise.

Nancy's divorce to wealthy American lawyer Bruce Blakeman was made final last month, which means she is now free to marry the music legend, with friends of the couple anticipating a proposal soon.
