SEX AND THE CITY star SARAH JESSICA PARKER has dismissed rumours she is set to split from her husband MATTHEW BRODERICK.

The couple has been dogged by rumours of an impending split ever August when American tabloid, Star, claimed Broderick, 46, had an affair with a younger woman.

And fresh speculation arose recently, with internet gossips claiming SJP had been spotted visiting a New York realtor to prepare for moving out of the family's Manhattan home.

But the couple have been putting on a united front, appearing in public together on Thursday night to see Broadway play, The American Plan.

And Parker brushed off the break-up rumours, telling People.com, "This is date night. It was really lovely. We don't even bother to address them (the reports)."

And when asked the best thing about life as a married couple, the actress replied; "Being married!"

The couple married in 1997 and has a four year old son, James Wilkie.
