We were totally mesmerized by the fireworks on New Year's Eve in Dubai and turns out we weren't alone! A record 1.7 million visitors saw the fireworks at Downtown Dubai's New Year's Eve Gala around the Burj Khalifa.
To kick things off, there was a Water, Fire and Light show playing on the famous fountains. Then when all the oohs and aahs really started going, a live orchestra accompanied the amazing fireworks display around the iconic building.
Mohammed Abbar, chairman of Emaar Properties, said, "The event underlines the positive vision that Dubai upholds by serving as a beacon of hope for people and highlighting the happiness and robust outlook that the city brings." And even though we got to see the display live (lucky us!), 2 billion people around the globe witnessed the awesome fireworks display on TV.
We can't wait to do it all again next year!
