Sarah Blinzer shows that a game of Ultimate Frisbee is more than child's play

If you think that Ultimate Frisbee is just a walk in the park, think again. This dynamic team game will help you burn the calories as you run, jump and throw the Frisbee around the field. The object of the game is to score points by passing the disc to a member of your team in the opposing end zone. Players are not allowed to run while holding the disc and may only pivot while having contact with the disc. If you weren’t that fit when you started, you will be when you finish. Sarah Blinzer is a member of the Duplays (duplays.com) league in Dubai. “I’ve been playing the sport for over eight years now. I started playing when I was at university and my local team needed some substitutes for an upcoming tournament,” Sarah explains. And before she knew it she was hooked.

It’s a sport that can be played anywhere, whether it’s on the beach, at a park or in your garden with the family,” says Sarah. “It’s a great way to have fun and is a fantastic stress reliever.” While Ultimate Frisbee is as competitive as any other team sport, Sarah adds that it’s definitely one of the friendliest team events to get involved in too. “I’ve always felt so welcomed within the Frisbee community that it’s hard for me not to imagine being part of such a great sport,” she adds.
